Tell Your Story
There are three basic sections that any story can be split into. In film, they’re referred to as what is shown below. In order to develop a story, you must keep these sections in mind in order to be successful. You also need gear in order to get things done. I recommend using the gear that I have listed above to get the best bang for your buck.
This is the planning stage. You meet with actors and screenwriters and decide how things will get done, and who’s in charge of what.
This is the phase where the actual work of filming gets done. This is my least favorite stage because it’s by far the most tedious and difficult.
This is my favorite stage. It’s where all the filming work has been completed and must be edited down to a final piece. This is where attention to detail is essential.
